The Only Begotten Son

The term "only begotten son" simply means Yahshua at this time and until such time as the first resurrection is the ONLY begotten (resurrected) son of YHWH in the family.  Yahshua was the FIRST FRUITS (resurrected the first fruits of many more to come on the Feast of First Fruits, first Sabbath after Passover).  Notice in every verse referenced, "begotten by YHWH" is upon resurrection not human birth.
1 Corinthians 15 (New King James Version)
20 But now the Messiah is risen from the dead, and has become (the firstborn son upon resurrection not birth to Mary/Joseph) the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. 21 For since by man (Adam) came death, by Man (Yahshua the Second Adam) also came the resurrection of the dead. 22 For as in Adam all die, even so in the Messiah all (the sons of YHWH) shall be made alive (begotton by YHWH as sons through resurrection). 23 But each one (of the sons of YHWH) in his own order (after Yahshua, the eldest son):  The Messiah the firstfruits (first and only at this point of the sons to be resurrected), afterward those who are the the Messiah's at His coming (First Resurrection when the rest of the sons will be begotton).
You see, the term begotten is key.  Begotten of YHWH means resurrected birth NOT human birth.  It is specifically talking about ONLY RESURRECTED SON.   
Acts 13:33
32 And we declare to you glad tidings—that promise which was made (by YHWH) to the (fore )fathers (we are saved by faith in the promises of YHWH made to the forefathers). 33 YHWH has fulfilled this (promise to save us) for us their children (children of Abraham/Isaac/Jacob), in that YHWH has raised up Yahshua (that was the promise fulfilled, that YHWH would send a Passover Lamb sacrifice). As it is also written in the second Psalm: "You are My Son, Today (day Yahshua was resurrected) I have begotten You."
Romans 1:3-4 NKJV
3 concerning His Son Yahshua the Messiah our King, who was born of the seed of David (both Mary/Joseph) according to the flesh (was a human),
4 and declared to be the Son of YHWH (begotten) with power according to the Spirit of holiness (YHWH is Spirit, His seed Spirit not physical), by the resurrection from the dead.
Yahshua is not the ONLY SON, just the only begotten from the grave at this point.  Adam and David, and indeed all of us are declared sons of YHWH:
1 Chronicles 28:6 (KJV)
 
6 And he (YHWH) said unto me (David), Solomon thy son, he shall build my house and my courts: for I (YHWH) have chosen him (David) to be my son, and I will be his father.
Luke 3:38
38 Which was the son of Enos, which was the son of Seth, which was the son of Adam, which was the son of YHWH.
Psalm 82
6 I have said, You (the chosen) are gods (family of Elohim); and all of you are children of the most High.
 
And we too, shall be sons of YHWH begotten at by the Power of His Spirit upon resurrection just like Yahshua, brothers to the First Born or First Begotten son... Yahshua:
Luke 20:36 NASB95
 
36 for they cannot even die anymore, because they are like angels, and are sons of God, being sons of the resurrection.
The distinction between Yahshua and the rest of the sons of YHWH is that Yahshua is the eldest and heir to all things as the firstborn of the resurrection through inheritance.  And ONLY one at this point, prior to the First Resurrection:  And as heir to all things he is King of Kings and sits not ON the throne of creation (he is not creator, YHWH sits on that throne), but Yahshua sits at the RIGHT HAND of the THE CREATOR... as heir.
Hebrews 10:12
but he, when he had offered one sacrifice (Passover Lamb) for sins forever, sat down on the right hand of Yahweh (inequality);
We too will follow Yahshua and be begotton as sons of YHWH through resurrection.. and take our place as Priests, Judges, and Kings to under the authority of the first born and King of Kings and High Priest...
Matthew 19:28-29
28 Yahshua said to them, "Most assuredly I tell you, that you who have followed me, in the "Regeneration" (Resurrection) when the Son of Man will sit on the throne of his glory, you also will sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

Revelation 5:10

10 And hast made us unto our God (YHWH) kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.

 Romans 8:19

“creation eagerly awaits the revelation of the sons of YHWH”… vs. 21 “when creation will be set free form slavery and come into the glorious freedom of the sons of YHWH”
Revelation 21:7
7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
Conclusion... Yahshua is the First Born of Creation, the First fruits of the Resurrection, and currently the ONLY SON RESURRECTED (only begotten son).  Notice it is all about a family and inheritance.  We are all part of that same family (there is no Trinity) with Yahshua being the eldest and heir and we being brothers are co-heirs:
 

Colossians 1:

12   Giving thanks unto the Father (of Elohim), which hath made us (predestined to a life on Earth) meet (why?) to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light (we are the LIGHT in Gen. 1:3, Elohim, to inherit and liberate the Universe):
13   Who (YHWH) hath delivered us from the power of darkness (Gen 1:4), and hath translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son (Yahshua):
14   In whom (Yahshua) we have redemption (to YHWH) through his (Yahshua’s) blood (marriage covenant, the two become one), even the forgiveness of sins (transgressing YHWH’s commands):
15   Who (Yahshua) is the (perfect human) image of the invisible God (the proxy of YHWH), the firstborn (of the resurrection, Feast of First Fruits) of every creature (firstborn of Elohim).
16   (New thought) For by Him (YHWH) were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible (flesh) and invisible (spirit), whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by Him (YHWH), and for him (for Yahshua as an inheritance, the heir of YHWH, first born of Elohim given to Yahshua upon resurrection):
17   And He (the Creator YHWH) is before all things (self existing), and by Him (YHWH) all things consist.
18   (New thought) And he (Yahshua) is the head of the body (Elohim), the church (family of YHWH): who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead (Yahshua was the first to complete the process and be given Eternal Life by YHWH); that in all things (of YHWH’s) he (Yahshua) might have the preeminence (among the sons of God Elohim).
19   For it pleased the Father (YHWH) that in him (Yahshua) should all fullness (of covenants and prophecies, and attributes, and power of YHWH) dwell (he is the Messiah, l the Proxy of YHWH);
20   And (YHWH has made complete all covenants with Yahshua), having made peace (between the two houses, Remnant Israel) through the blood of his cross (by offering His First Born Son), by him (sacrificing Yahshua) to reconcile all things (He created) unto Himself (YHWH); by (sacrificing) him (Yahshua, the Passover Lamb), I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.

 

Ephesians 1

1   Paul, an apostle of Messiah Yahshua by the will of YHWH, to the saints (Elohim) which are at Ephesus , and to the faithful in (covenant with) Messiah Yahshua:
2   Grace be to you, and peace, from YHWH our Father (of Elohim), and from the Lord Messiah Yahshua.
3   Blessed be the God (declaration of the Shema) and Father of our Lord Messiah Yahshua, who (YHWH) hath blessed us (his sons, Elohim) with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in (covenant with) Yahshua:
4   According (to YHWH’s Plan, the Word) as he (YHWH) hath chosen (predestined) us in him (self, YHWH, in Yahshua as one through marriage) before the foundation of the world (light of Gen 1), that we should be holy and without blame before him (YHWH) in love (through covenant):
5   Having predestinated us (Elohim) unto the adoption of children (sons of God in covenant) by (the blood sacrifice of) Messiah Yahshua to himself (one with YHWH like Yahshua through marriage covenant), according to the good pleasure of his (YHWH’s) will,
6   To the praise of the glory of his (YHWH’s) grace, wherein he hath (through blood sacrifice of Messiah) made us accepted in the beloved (family of Elohim, brothers of our King Messiah Yahshua).
7   In whom (Messiah Yahshua) we have redemption (from the second death, The Passover) through his blood (as the Passover Lamb), the forgiveness of sins (transgression of Law), according to the riches of his (YHWH’s) grace;
8   Wherein (covenant with Yahshua) he (YHWH) hath abounded toward us (unlimited Grace) in all wisdom and prudence;
9   Having made known unto us (Elohim) the mystery of his will (to beget a family), according to his (YHWH’s) good pleasure which he (YHWH) hath purposed (predestined to create) in himself (the Father of Elohim, the One True Living God):
10   That in the dispensation of the fullness of times (as foretold by His prophets) he (YHWH) might gather together (again) in one (through the covenant of marriage, the two shall become one) all things in (the body of) Messiah, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him(self, YHWH will reconcile creation through the sacrifice of His Son):
11   In whom (the first born Son, Messiah Yahshua) also we (too) have obtained an inheritance (as sons of God, we inherit the Universe), being predestinated according to the purpose of YHWH who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:
12   That we (sons of God) should be to the praise of his (YHWH’s) glory, who first trusted in Messiah Yahshua.
13   In whom (Yahshua) ye also trusted (was the Messiah), after that ye heard the word of truth (that we too are sons of God), the gospel of your salvation (purchased through the blood sacrifice of Yahshua to consummate the covenant of marriage whereby we are ONE with YHWH): in whom (Yahshua) also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise (second witness of 1 John),
14   Which is the earnest (guarantee) of our (future) inheritance (as sons of God) until the redemption (resurrection) of the purchased possession (raised Elohim after death, born son of God), unto the praise of his glory.

17   That the God (declaration of the Shema) of our King Messiah Yahshua, the Father of glory (the glory of God is His sons, elohim), may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him (self, YHWH):
18   The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his (YHWH) calling (you as sons of God), and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints (the Universe),
19   And what is the exceeding greatness of YHWH’s power to us-ward (in Elohim) who believe, according to the working of his (YHWH's) mighty power,
20   Which he (YHWH) wrought in the Messiah (demonstrated), when YHWH raised Yahshua from the dead (confirming Yahshua’s sonship), and YHWH set Yahshua at YHWH’s own right hand (of the throne of Creation) in the heavenly places,
21   Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
22   And (YHWH) hath put all things under his (Yahshua’s) feet, and YHWH gave Yahshua (the first born Son) to be the head (of His sons) over all things to the church (together the sons of God will liberate creation and rule over all things),
23   Which is his (Messiah's) body, the fulness of him (YHWH) that filleth all in all.
