Saved through Faith in the Promises of YHWH
by Paul Sides

The Plan of Salvation - the real story - begin here

I have been told "The Law was abolished, I have faith in Jesus therefore I am saved!"

Is that true?  What does "Saved by Faith" mean?  Do you simply "call on Jesus name"? Is that sufficient... nothing else?  Not according to Yahshua or any part of the Word of YHWH:
Matthew 7:22-23 (New International Version)
22 Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?' 23Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'
They "keys" to this verse are:
What Does Saved by Faith Mean?

So then, what does "Saved by Faith" mean?  You see the Word says we are saved through faith in the PROMISES that YHWH made to mankind.  Those promises are laid out and defined in His Commandments or Torah.  In The Torah both eternal life for obedience and death for transgression are promised.  We are promised a Passover Lamb to cover our transgression.  We are promised a Sabbath Rest.  A Sabbath Resurrection.  And the proper Sacrifices are described to cover our sin (transgression of His Law) to be made by the High Priest.

In the Torah their is a certificate of debt which requires our death for not keeping His Commandments.  That certificate of debt has been paid by YHWH by living up to another promise which was to send a spotless lamb on THE PASSOVER (not Good Friday) whose blood would be sufficient to take away our debt (our own eternal death).
Col 2:14-16
"Having canceled out the certificate of debt (DEATH.. PENALTY of transgressing the Torah) consisting of decrees (penalties for transgressing His Commands) against us and which (the decree of penalties) was hostile to us (because we did not keep His Commandments); and YHWH has taken it (the certificate of debt/DEATH not the Torah) out of the way (sacrificing His Passover Lamb to cover us), having nailed it (The Penalty of Death... THE DECREES AGAINST US for falling short of His Torah... NOT the entire Torah) to the cross. When YHWH had disarmed the (spiritual) rulers and authorities (in high places who cause us to sin against His Laws resulting in our death), YHWH made a public display of them (spiritual rulers/authorities by resurrecting His Messiah), (YHWH) having triumphed over them (death/spiritual rulers/authorities) through (sacrificing His First Born Son) Yahshua. Therefore let no one (the pagan people in Colossia were fasting while the saints were following YHWH's Feasts and the Jews were trying to get them to renounce the Messiah and convert to Judaism) act as your judge in regard to (as you keep the Torah) food or drink or in respect to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day- things which are a mere shadows (physical portraits ordained by YHWH to teach Spiritual Truths) of what is to come (in Spiritual Truth); but the substance (fulfillment of the Feasts/Torah/Sabbath) belongs to the Messiah (who as High Priests is our substitution for the certificate of debt/DEATH serving as our High Priest offering the proper gifts/sacrifices to YHWH on our behalf which are defined in the Torah)."

Paul (contrary to what most Christianity teaches) was a very big advocate of The Law.  Understanding it is that very Law that makes us Holy, Wise, and Perfect...

1 Timothy 3:14-17.

But continue in the things which you have learned and have been assured of (The Torah), knowing of whom you have learned them (The Torah is from YHWH); And that from a child you have known the holy scriptures (the Holy Scriptures IS The Torah, and it defines HOLINESS), which (Torah) are able to make you wise unto salvation (defining the promise of a Passover Lamb you become wise unto how you obtain salvation which is promised in The Torah) through faith (in that Lamb of YHWH) which is in Messiah Yahshua (Yahshua IS the fulfillment of that promise). All scripture (Torah, there was no NT) is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness (Righteousness or Right Standing before YHWH is defined in the Torah): That the man of God may be perfect (perfection is keeping the Torah), thoroughly furnished unto all good works (found in the Torah).

And 1 John goes into great detail that we cannot say we know YHWH if we don't keep His Commandments.  And sin is transgressing the Torah.

1 John 5:3

For this is the love of YHWH, that we keep His commandments; and His commandments are not burdensome (WE KEEP THEM OUT OF LOVE NOT OBLIGATION, WE HAVE ALREADY BEEN JUSTIFIED THROUGH FAITH WHICH ACCORDING TO PAUL ESTABLISHES THE LAW).

1 John 3:4-24

4   Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the Torah/Law: for sin is the transgression of the Torah/law (Paul clearly teaches this exact same thing.  The Law was given so that we may know what is Holy and identify sin).

So here is the point.  This is "Salvation through Faith in the Promises of YHWH":
You see, In keeping the Torah, you will not violate the 1rst Commandment to have no other God before YHWH (you will not believe in and worship the Trinity) ensuring you are Sealed.  You will not take His Holy Name in vain calling Him a pagan Trinity.  You will keep the 4th Commandment which is to honor the Sabbath (not SungodDay/Cult of Sol Invictus) so you will be Signed.  You will keep the Feasts and come to understand the meaning of the Passover and be able to identify the True Messiah (Passover Lamb of YHWH/Lord of the Sabbath) from the False Messiah (Good Friday/Sunday) and call on the one name (Yahshua) whereby you may be delivered from death (the penalty for disobedience to the Torah).  You will be Signed/Sealed/Delivered.  All promises.  All the foundation of our Faith.  The meaning of Saved by Faith.

1 John 2:3

1   My little children (writing to the spiritually immature), these things write I unto you, that ye sin not (by breaking the Commandments of YHWH). And if any man sin (falling short of keeping the Commandments), we have an advocate (High Priest) with the Father (of Elohim, YHWH), Messiah Yahshua the righteous (anointed and perfect human image or proxy of YHWH):
2   And he (Yahshua) is the propitiation (substitution) for our sins (violating YHWH’s Commands): and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world (the sacrifice was sufficient to save the whole world, but effective only to those who believe, those who know Yahshua and are one with YHWH through marriage).
3   And hereby we do know that we know him (here is the test), if we keep his commandments (we obey and Yahshua said if you love YHWH, keep His Commandments, not ONE JOT OR TITLE of the Torah is done away with).
4   He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments (The Law), is a liar, and the truth is not in him. (the sign of the sons of YHWH are those that keep the Sabbath/Feast/Torah).
5   But whoso keepeth his word (Yahshua said that not ONE JOT OR TITLE is done away… Yahshua commanded us to Keep the Commandments of YHWH), in him (those who keep the commandments) verily is the love (of YHWH) perfected (we pass the test and it is recorded in the Book of Life): hereby know we that we are in him (we are in covenant with Yahshua if we keep YHWH Commandments).

The truth is that The Law that once defined the physical sacrifices required to cover transgression made by the Levitical Priests has been transferred to Heaven as the human priesthood of Levi was replaced by Melchizedek and that same Law now defines the perfect sacrifices made by Melchizedek the eternal High Priest Yahshua.  Do away with the Law and you are a liar if you say you are a son of YHWH.  Do away with the Law and you do away with the promise of Eternal Life.  Do away with the Law and you do away with the proper sacrifices required to cover your transgressions.  Do away with the Law you do away with the authority by which the Eternal High Priest has to serve YHWH on your behalf.

Do away with the Law and you become LAWLESS and an evildoer.  And the only promise you will have left is that of Eternal Death by Fire for disobedience as you have done away with the promises of YHWH and will be judged according to your works by the very law you abolished.  Keep in mind always that Yahshua did not come to destroy the Law but to bring it's final fulfillment of perfect sacrifice.  And it is THE TORAH or LAW OF YHWH that is the standard of the Kingdom of YHWH led by the King of Kings that will flow forth from His Eternal City Jerusalem to govern this Universe for Eternity.  Do away with it... and you'll have no place as a Priest and King in that eternal Kingdom to come...
Isaiah 2:2-4
And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of YHWH's house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it.
3 And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of YHWH, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways (teach us the Torah), and we will walk in his paths (keep the Torah): for out of Zion shall go forth the Torah, and the word of YHWH (the Torah) from Jerusalem.
4 And he shall judge among the nations (by the Law of YHWH/Torah), and shall rebuke many people:
So... Saved by Faith means you are saved by faith in the promises found in the Law of YHWH... The Torah.  Which are Eternal Life for obedience to it, and a Passover Lamb's blood to cover our inability to obedient to it as we attempt out of Love to keep His Commandments because it is in keeping them that we know Him.

Grace OR Law... Grace AND Law... which is it?
by Paul Sides

So if we are saved by Faith in the Promises of YHWH found in the Law...  And in The Law there is a promise of a Passover Lamb... the fulfillment of that promise made in the Torah is Yahshua the Messiah.  Who FULFILLED the Law by bringing the final "New Command" of Grace.  We are supposed to be keeping His Commandments… the OLD ones or The Torah.  That is the entire conversation of 1 John (see a full breakdown Evidence of Salvation... 3 witnesses of 1 John ).  Only ONE new one listed below:

1 John 3

23   And this is YHWH’s (new) commandment (I am bringing to you), That we should believe on the name of (the one who fulfilled the promise of the Passover Lamb, and enter into covenant of marriage and become one with Him through) His Son Messiah Yahshua (the blood of the Passover Lamb), and love one another, as YHWH gave us commandment (in the beginning to do).
24   And he that keepeth YHWH’s commandments dwelleth (abides in covenant) in YHWH (through believing in His Son), and YHWH (abides) in him (that keeps the Commandments and is in covenant through the blood of Yahshua). And hereby we know that YHWH abideth in us, by the Spirit (of Truth) which YHWH hath given us.

It is GRACE AND LAW.  Grace with no Law is not Grace, it is lawlessness.  Grace is YHWH's Favor in light of your transgression of His Holy Law.  You can't have Grace outside of the very thing for which you need Grace... His Law.  In Hebrews, Paul lays it all out.  The ROLE of Yahshua as Melchizedek the King of Righteousness and Eternal High Priest to YHWH on your behalf.  It defines what "Faith in Yahshua" means or "Faith in the Name of..." Yahshua means... or Saved by Faith:

Hebrews 5

Qualifications for High Priesthood

the Messiah Our High Priest Forever
1 For every high priest taken from among men (Yahshua was a man not YHWH and appointed High Priest by YHWH upon resurrection) is appointed for men in things pertaining to God (Yahshua was appointed on our behalf in things pertaining to YHWH in other words Yahshua mediates between you and YHWH), that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices (defined in the Law, outside of the Law there is no definition for such gifts and sacrifices) for sins (transgressing the Law). 2 He can have compassion on those who are ignorant (of God’s Law, His Grace is very sufficient but that is no excuse to remain ignorant) and going astray (from the commands of God and not seeking YHWH through obedience), since he himself (Yahshua too was human, High Priests are taken from among men they are not God as stated in vs. 1) is also subject to weakness (bound by sinful flesh, Yahshua was baptised by John for repentace of such weaknesses). 3Because of this (his own guilt of transgression) he is required (to repent) as for the people (he makes sacrifices), so also for himself, to offer sacrifices for (his) sins (Yahshua offered his own life and blood to atone). 4And no man takes this honor to himself, but he who is called by God, just as Aaron was.

A Priest Forever
5 So also Yahshua did not glorify himself to become High Priest, but it was YHWH who said to Yahshua (upon Yahshua’s baptism for repentance, and filling with the Spirit of Truth, and final resurrection):

        "You are My Son,
        Today I have begotten You."

6As YHWH also says (of Yahshua) in another place:

        "You are a priest forever
        According to the order of Melchizedek" (Melchizedek was the first King of Zadok (Righteousness) Priest, a title and order of Priest held by Yahshua as the Eternal High Priest);

7who (Yahshua), in the days of his flesh (he was human prior to resurrection), when he had offered up prayers and supplications (for Israel and himself vs. 3 above), with vehement cries and tears to YHWH who was able to save Yahshua from death, and was heard (by YHWH) because of his (Yahshua’s) godly fear (of YHWH), 8though he (Yahshua) was a Son (of many in the family of Elohim), yet he (Yahshua) learned obedience (to the Torah over time through a life on Earth) by the things which he suffered (being disciplined by YHWH as are all men of YHWH). 9And having been perfected (over time through discipline), he (Yahshua) became (perfected through obedience to the Torah and) the author (demonstrating The Way, 3 witnesses of water/spirit/blood of 1 John) of eternal salvation to all who obey him (by keeping the commands of YHWH), 10(Yahshua was) called by God (YHWH) as High Priest "according to the order of Melchizedek," 11of whom (Yahshua) we have much to say, and hard to explain, since you have become dull of hearing (mind not set on the Spiritual Law of God but on the flesh which transgresses the Law).

Spiritual Immaturity
12 For though by this time you ought to be teachers (of the Torah, at that time there was no such thing as the "New" Testament), you need someone to teach you again the first principles of the oracles of God (the Torah); and you have come to need milk and not solid food. 13 For everyone who partakes only of milk (the entire religion of Christianity that has abolished the Torahis unskilled in the word of righteousness (the Torah/Law which is Holy, Righteous, and Good), for he is a babe. 14 But solid food belongs to those who are of full age (mature Saints with minds set on Spiritual Law), that is, those who by reason of use (by obedience to the Torah/Spirit of the Law) have their senses exercised (trained by the Torah) to discern both good and evil (which is defined by the Law of God).

Romans 5

Faith Triumphs in Transgression of Law -  Death in Adam, Life in the Messiah

1 Therefore, having been justified by faith (in the promises of YHWH made in the Torah), we have peace with YHWH through our King Yahshua the Messiah (by whose blood we are in covenant with YHWH for forgiveness of transgressing the Law, making complete the Torah), 2 through whom (the blood of Yahshua, the Eternal High Priest) also we have access (to YHWH) by faith into this grace (forgiveness of our transgressions) in which we stand (keeping the commands but falling short i.e. the battle between Flesh/Spirit), and rejoice (crying Abba Father) in hope of the glory of YHWH (that we will be forgiven and resurrected Elohim promises made in the Torah). 3 And not only that (hope in future glory found through faith in the promises made in the Torah), but we also glory in tribulations (witnessing that Yahshua became perfected through them by obedience to the Torah), knowing (by Yashua’s example) that tribulation produces perseverance; 4and perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of YHWH has been poured out in our hearts (the Law of Love, the Torah has been written on the ‘tablets’ of our hearts) by the Holy Spirit (of Truth) who was given to us (as a deposit of future glory in Elohim in fulfillment of the promise of the Feast of Weeks found in the Torah fulfilled at Pentacost).

the Messiah in Our Place

6 For when we were still without strength (to fully obey the Law of God), in due time (as proclaimed by the Prophets and promises made in the Torah) Yahshua died (in fulfillment of the Passover Lamb promise found in the Torah) for the ungodly (the transgressors of the Law). 7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die (it is an amazing thing that someone would even die for a righteous man); yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die (even more rare to die for a good man). 8 But YHWH demonstrates His own love toward us (sons of God), in that while we were still sinners (defined as transgressors of the Law), Yahshua died for us (the perfect example of obedience in love). 9 Much more then (Yahshua made whole the Law as the fulfillment of the Passover Lamb promise found in the Law, providing Grace), having now been justified (made just before and one with YHWH in faith by obedience to the Torah) by His (Yahshua's) blood (of the Passover Lamb, the consummation of the marriage covenant), we shall be (upon resurrection) saved from wrath (the second death, the Spiritual meanng of The Passover) through him (Yahshua, by the blood of the Passover Lamb). 10 For if when we were enemies (hostile to the Law of God) we were reconciled to YHWH through the death of His Son (Yahshua, The Passover Lamb of YHWH), much more, having been reconciled (found perfect in obedience to the Law through faith in the covenant with YHWH through Yahshua), we shall be saved (from the second death) by his (eternal) life (Yahshua defeated death in the resurrection). 11 And not only that, but we also rejoice in YHWH (that we are sons) through (faith in) our King Yahshua the Messiah, through whom we have now received the reconciliation (to YHWH as future begotton sons of Elohim as we are saved through faith in the promise that YHWH would send a Passover Lamb through which sacrifice we would be found 100% obedient to His Law and receive eternal life promised in the Torah and adoption as sons).

Death in Adam, Life in the Messiah

12 Therefore, just as through one man (Adam disobeyed YHWH’s commands bringing death as promised in the Torah for transgression) sin entered the world, and death through sin (the penalty of sin is death), and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned—13 For until the law came sin was still in the world, but sin is not imputed (we were not aware of sin without the Law, but the Law was still valid even though we weren't aware of it and the penatly for breaking it was active) when there is no law (the Law teaches us what is Holy and what is sin). 14 Nevertheless (even without the Law, the penalty of the Law was active) death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over those who had not sinned according to the likeness of the transgression of Adam (God’s Holy Law was more than just what Adam did), who (Adam) is a type of (son of God) him (Yahshua) who was to come.

15 But the free gift (of eternal life through Grace to complete the Law) is not like the offense (of transgressing the Law). For if by the one man's offense many died, much more the grace of YHWH and the gift (of grace in light of transgressing the Law) by the grace of the one man, Messiah Yahshua, abounded to many (who would be saved through faith in the promises found in the Law). 16And the gift (of grace in light of transgressing the Law) is not like that (penalty of death for transgressing the Law) which came through the one who sinned. For the judgment which came from one offense resulted in condemnation (to death of the physical body), but the free gift (of life through obedience and grace in light of transgressing the Law) which came from many offenses resulted in justification (through the fulfillment of the promise of a Passover Lamb and High Priest, right standing before YHWH and resurrected eternal life of the physical body).

17 For if by the one man's offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness (which leads to Eternal Life by obedience to the Torah) will reign in (everlasting) life through (blood covenant in and faith in) the one (man), Yahshua who is the Messiah (the Passover Lamb of YHWH).

18 Therefore, as through one man's offense judgment came to all men, resulting in condemnation (to death of the physical body), even so through one man's righteous act (of self denial, obedience, and love unto death to fulfill the Passover promise) the free gift (of grace in light of transgressing the Law leading to the promise of resurrected life the result of grace bridging the gap to obedience to the Torah and the promise of obedience is Life Eternal) came to all men (who have faith in the promises of YHWH), resulting in justification (before YHWH) of life (after death). 19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one man's obedience many (not ALL men ever created but many who have faith in the promises of YHWH) will be made righteous (you are saved through faith).

20Moreover the (Holy, Righteous, Good) law entered (was given by YHWH) that the offense might abound (God’s Holiness was made clear by the Law as well as our need and the promise of a savoir). But where sin (transgression of the Law) abounded, grace (forgiveness of those transgressions) abounded much more (as YHWH delivered us who have faith in His Promises found in the Torah through His Son and freely reconciled us to Himself), 21 so that as sin reigned in death (transgressing the Torah), even so grace (forgiveness of transgression) might reign through righteousness (keeping the Torah) to eternal life through (the blood of and faith in) Yahashua the Messiah (who made whole the Law providing Grace in light of transgression by fulfilling the promise of the Passover)

THAT... is what "Saved through Faith" means....
