The truth is that every child of YHWH is in truth the Tabernacle of YHWH.  That is the New Covenant. We are bought with a price... the blood of Yahshua.

1 Corinthians 3:16

Don't you know that you yourselves are God's temple and that God's Spirit lives in you?

In fact, the physical temple in Jerusalem was a "prototype" or "physical portrait or shadow" of the greater spiritual truth that ultimately Yahshua would come as the Messiah, his body raised from the dead and laid as the Chief  Cornerstone of what is to become the living Temple of YHVH... the sons of God.

 

For a detailed look into the fact that the physical Temple was designed to represent the human body.  The Priests Cells the Priestly Turbin, the Holy of Holies the mind, the heart the Holy Place, etc.:

As we see, in the Renewed Covenant of the Messiah Yahshua, The Torah or "Law" or "Commandments/Instructions" are now written within our "heart" which is now the Spiritual Ark of the Covenant:

Romans 2:14-15

14 (Indeed, when Gentiles, who do not have the law, do by nature things required by the law, they are a law for themselves, even though they do not have the law. 15 They show that the requirements of the law are written on their hearts, their consciences also bearing witness, and their thoughts sometimes accusing them and at other times even defending them.)

Inside each of us is the spiritual equivalent of the physical portrait that was the physical Tabernacle!  What was inside the Tabernacle?  Primarily the Ark of the Covenant.  What was within the Ark?

  1. The tablets of the Law as given to Moses... the 10 Commandments.

  2. Aaron's staff.

  3. A portion of Manna, bread from Heaven.

The Ark of the Covenant is within each of us His Tabernacles, His children, written on our hearts. The blood of Yahshua, the Passover Lamb is poured on top of the Ark inside us to cover our sins.

Inside the Ark (in our heats) is:

--- The Commands. We keep them out of love.
--- The staff of Aaron. YHWH is our shepherd, YHWH ROHI.
--- The Manna. We are fed Spiritually.
