Wars and Rumors of Wars... The War on Terror

The Eschatological timeline laid out in the Bible describes a period of time after the 7-year peace treaty (Oslo 1993 - 2000) and before the Abomination of Desolation referred to as a time of "Wars and Rumors of Wars".  This period of time lasts approximately 7 years from when the 7 year peace treaty is annulled until the second coming.

The Bible specifically refers to this period after the "covenant of death" (the 7-year peace treaty) expires as a period of terrorist attacks so bad that you will be terrified just to read the daily newspapers every morning:

Isaiah 28:19 (NKJV)

Your covenant with death will be annulled, And your agreement with Sheol will not stand; When the overflowing scourge passes through, Then you will be trampled down by it.19 As often as it goes out it will take you; For morning by morning it will pass over, And by day and by night; It will be a terror just to understand the report."

We are deep into this period of "Wars and Rumors of Wars" and daily terrorist attacks.  Yahshua talks about this time period:

Luke 21:8-24 (NASB)

And they questioned Him, saying, "Teacher, when therefore will these things be? And what will be the sign when these things are about to take place?"8 And He said, "See to it that you be not misled; for many will come in My name, saying, 'I am He,' and, 'The time is at hand'; do not go after them.

9 "And when you hear of wars and disturbances, do not be terrified; for these things must take place first, but the end does not follow immediately."

10 Then He continued by saying to them, "Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom,

11 and there will be great earthquakes, and in various places plagues and famines; and there will be terrors and great signs from heaven.

12 "But before all these things, they will lay their hands on you and will persecute you, delivering you to the synagogues and prisons, bringing you before kings and governors for My name's sake.

13 "It will lead to an opportunity for your testimony.

14 "So make up your minds not to prepare beforehand to defend yourselves;

15 for I will give you utterance and wisdom which none of your opponents will be able to resist or refute.

16 "But you will be delivered up even by parents and brothers and relatives and friends, and they will put some of you to death,

17 and you will be hated by all on account of My name.

18 "Yet not a hair of your head will perish.

19 "By your endurance you will gain your lives.

20 "But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then recognize that her desolation is at hand.

21 "Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, and let those who are in the midst of the city depart, and let not those who are in the country enter the city;

22 because these are days of vengeance, in order that all things which are written may be fulfilled.

23 "Woe to those who are with child and to those who nurse babes in those days; for there will be great distress upon the land, and wrath to this people,

24 and they will fall by the edge of the sword, and will be led captive into all the nations; and Jerusalem will be trampled under foot by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.

Yahshua says that this period of Wars and Rumors of Wars precedes a major attack on Jerusalem.  He goes on to say that this period of time will lead to a unique opportunity to make a testimony of your faith.  He then says do not "prepare" to defend yourselves, but that He will provide words and wisdom that no one can resist or refute.  Then Yahshua says that those who use this opportunity to testify for Him, that "not a hair of your head will perish.  By your endurance you will gain your lives."

So to everyone who "worries" for their lives, I have this to say... use your time wisely and you have nothing to worry about.  You will be under divine protection.

This period of "Wars and Rumors of Wars" ends with nuclear war in the Middle East and a "political settlement" between Israel and the rest of the world.  That settlement involves Jerusalem.  More specifically the Temple Mount.  The settlement allows Israel to rebuild the 3rd Temple while allowing the rest of the world access to the Temple Mount outside the physical Temple to worship as they choose (i.e. Islam in their Mosque, etc.).  This settlement angers God who allows this abomination for 3.5 years (the Great Trib).  The Bible describes this settlement in Rev 11:1-2:

Rev 11:1-2 (NKJV)

1 Then I was given a reed like a measuring rod. And the angel stood, saying, "Rise and measure the temple of God, the altar, and those who worship there.

2 "But leave out the court which is outside the temple, and do not measure it, for it has been given to the Gentiles. And they will tread the holy city underfoot for forty-two months.

Again, we are 13 months into this "Wars and Rumors of War" time period.  It began September 13th when Oslo expired and escalated into war on September 28th when Ariel Sharon took a trip to the Temple Mount.  It began on top of the Temple Mount per Biblical prophecy and will end on top of the Temple Mount per Biblical prophecy.  Then comes 3.5 years of Great Trib ending in a global nuclear war according to Biblical prophecy (the War of Armegeddon).  The results of the War of Armageddon leave the planet in complete darkness for a 45 day period described below by Yahshua:

Matt 24:30-31 (NKJV)

"Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.30 "Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

31 "And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
